Founded in the mid-1930s by perfumer and cosmetics expert Armand Petitjean, Lancôme is a French cosmetics brand that is now part of L'Oréal's Luxe Division. Petitjean's brand soared to success after his Tropiques, Tendres Nuits, Kypre, Bocages, and Conquête fragrances were exhibited at the Brussels International Exposition of 1935. Having become one of the world's leading cosmetics and fragrance brands, the company expanded its range by adding skincare creams, makeup, and a host of other products to its collection.
