Prada started out as a leather goods company founded in Italy by Mario and Martino, the Prada brothers. In 1980, the brand branched out into ready-to-wear, gradually becoming a luxury group over the years. The company launched a menswear ready-to-wear collection in 1990, as well as Miu Miu, a more affordable womenswear collection. In the 2000s, the group began branching out into beauty, and released its first Prada perfume. Its fragrances are made by Puig.
