Cerruti was founded by Nino Cerruti when he took over the family company. It didn't take him long to overhaul production processes and upgrade the company's approach to designing clothing. Drawing on his roots, he struck out on a mission to elevate the family factory, injecting all his parents' and grandparents' knowledge into the process. Menswear at the time consisted off simple, straight-forward, fuss-free suits in understated shades. It was against this backdrop that the House made a name for itself with its original, innovative collection that garnered the brand attention from the fashion media. This was also one of the very first ready-to-wear menswear collections in the world. In the 1950s, the predominant model was haute couture and tailor-made designs. As a result, the Cerruti collections exuded avant-garde innovation, and were seen as something of a mini revolution. The Italian-accented Parisian fashion house was key to revolutionizing the men's fashion scene. On a mission to expand, the company moved its headquarters and eponymous boutique to the Place de la Madeleine in Paris, while keeping their workshops and ateliers in Italy. Following on from several menswear collections and a womenswear line, Cerruti gained a foothold abroad for the very first time when it began selling items in Japan and the United States. In 1978, Cerruti launched its range of fragrances, starting with its fragrances for men. The collection met with dizzying success, inspiring the brand to launch a number of other perfumes, including its fragrances for women. Today, the brand is on a continuous quest to achieve sophisticated design and fabrics to treat customers to natural elegance at its most refined. It offers a ready-to-wear, accessories, and fragrance collection that remains faithful to its founding values and distinctive expertise. Browse Cerruti's exceptional fragrances!
