Opium revived the "Oriental" family. A fruity and aromatic opening. A floral and voluptuous character. A rich, oriental, and spicy structure.
From its launch, it was a true event. Eager to create a perfume evoking the Orient, Yves Saint Laurent interpreted the spirit of imperial China with its mysteries and exoticism. A provocative name, Opium, synonymous with drug, passion, and enchantment. The first French perfume to be so concentrated, close to American perfumery, it is a fragrance with a strong trail.
The burst of Mandarin, Bergamot, and Lily of the Valley reveals heart notes of Jasmine, Carnation, and Myrrh. Then Vanilla, Amber, Opoponax, and Patchouli blend on the skin into a disturbing and feverish trail.
