Active in over 60 different countries, Nuxe has become France's best-known international beauty export. Aliza Jabès's passion for plants dates back to when she was just 12 years old. She decided to found Nuxe after working in a large pharmaceuticals company. She had long felt an urge to carve out her own path in life, and the pharmaceuticals industry had always spoken to her: both her parents had a pharmacy background. As a young girl, Aliza used to whip up her own natural skincare products using books and one specific botanical dictionary. To start with, Aliza bought a small Parisian laboratory, and according to her, the early days were hard work indeed. But her perseverance and strength of vision paid off, and the young woman soon raised her brand's profile through her 100% natural and French-made products like the cult Huile Prodigieuse. Nuxe's visibility was further bolstered by having its products sold in pharmacies. Aliza was convinced that she needed to highlight the innovation inherent to her products. And her strategy worked! Waves of women fell in love with the new range, with demand rocketing and the products becoming bestsellers in their categories. Nuxe emerged as the leading pharmacy beauty brand. The founder didn't rest on her laurels, and followed this achievement with yet another success: in 2002, she set up her first Nuxe Spa in a 17th-century wine cellar in the heart of Paris. The space's relaxed atmosphere and enchanting setting catapulted Nuxe to new heights. Her iconic Huile Prodigieuse dry oil alone is sold once every 11 seconds around the world.
