A la première utilisation, laissez la bougie brûler jusqu'à ce que la totalité de sa surface soit liquide (environ 2h-2h30). Cela évite la formation d'une cavité et d'un dépôt sur le verre. Taillez régulièrement la mèche afin d'éviter que la bougie ne fume et recentrez-la pour un brûlage homogène. Ne pas laisser la bougie brûler jusqu'à la fin, de sorte qu'il reste au moins 0.5cm de cire non fondue dans le verre. L'utilisation d'un éteignoir évite la fumée noire et préserve le parfum.
